Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog entry with five complete lies about yourself. That is, five things about you that are completely not true. Not even slightly. THEN hide in the entry a 6th line, something that is absolutely TRUE and the first person to guess which one is true wins :) then tag up to five people you want to turn into compulsive liars too.

1. My first book was a fifty-page illustrated story about a centaur.

2. I have every episode of Dukes of Hazzard on tape.

3. I can recite the Gettysburg Address backwards.

4. I once chased a calf down the highway.

5. While in NYC, I went to an audition on a lark and got cast, but the train ticket home was already bought.

6. Went on my first hunger strike in the fifth grade.

Okay, you have to tell me how it came to be that you were chasing a calf down a highway. :)

Well, mom and I were driving back home from Joplin and we spotted a calf that had gotten loose just standing in the middle of the road. Both of us were worried that someone'd come over the hill and not hit their brakes quickly enough, turning it into hamburger before its time (and doing god knows what to their car). So I decide to just shoo it off the road.

That worked out well. It didn't go to the side of the road, it ran straight down the middle of the highway and I had no idea they could move that fast for something that generally bulky.

It did (finally) go into the grass, though, and mom and I went to a nearby house to ask the lady there if she knew where it might belong, which she did.
