How did I not know about this??
"After a terrifying biblical apocalypse descends upon the world, a group of strangers stranded in a remote truck stop diner in the Southwest unwittingly become humanity's last line of defense when they discover the diner's young waitress is pregnant with the messiah."
Post-apocalyptic setting! Strangers joining together to do battle! Angels carrying machine guns! Paul Bettany as the archangel Michael. This movie was made for me, people.

Especially stuff involving the New Testament, and especially especially ESPECIALLY anything that cribs from Revelations.

And no, haven't seen the trailer yet-- the kiddo's asleep-- but I'm going to watch it as soon as she wakes up.

For instance, I've read slacktivist's take on Left Behind, and while I'm never going to read those books, if slacktivist ever did a novel in that genre? Mine in a hot second. :-) I also liked some of the short stories I read in the Right Behind section he links.

Speaking of SPN...
I have Monday Sept 7 off from classes. If you can hold off watching until Sept 5, we can have a marathon on a three-day weekend. ^_^

And man, I really really want to do that-- but from the 3rd until the 7th or 8th I'm going to be in Denver with Kaylee for my cousin's wedding. For some reason I was thinking the season would be out late September, not early. Whoops. :-P
However, I do have it preordered from amazon, so it sounds like it should be here soon. Anytime in mid or late September work for you?? I will even promise to wait until you can come down and make Chris wait, too. I'll hide the DVDs so he doesn't know they've arrived. *plots sneaky things*

I'm going to ask my cousin and her fiance if they'll pose for two of the other characters, and I just bought some dark lipstick and liquid eyeliner so I can pose for Myra. We'll see how it all turns out. lol

(and you do NOT know how hard it is to not see that name and think of SPN LOL)

This Ruby and that Ruby are complete opposites, though (thankfully, or the other characters would have a *lot* to worry about. Heh)
She's very much a glass-is-always-full die hard romantic. She spends a lot of time at school spacing out thinking of story ideas, though she doesn't always have a lot of time to write-- she helps her mom out with chores and cooking and watching her little sister. She kinda puts herself in the big-sister role with her friends, too.
