Would someone please explain why, given that I haven't seen the musical in years and I don't even like it that much to begin with, I have the opening song of Bye Bye Birdie stuck in my head?! Argh.

Anyway, the cold seems to have gone away, aside from a few random coughing fits. So that's a bonus. And I think we finally got all the escape routes blocked off, because the puppy hasn't gotten out of the yard for going on three days now.

While channel-flipping last night, I caught part of the Screen Actors Guild Awards . . . namely, the part where Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal were onstage presenting something. I think they were reading Brokeback Mountain's entry for Best Ensemble or something, I'm not sure; all I know was that at various times they each looked ready to crack up, and their trying-not-to-laugh looks made me crack up, so TV watching was nice yesterday.

Aside from that, nothing much going on. Off to type up some more notes. :-)

Which one is the opening song? The telephone one? I don't think I could hum that one if I tried, thank goodness. The one that gets stuck in my head is the "We love you, Conrad, oh yes we dooooooooo, we love you Connnnraad, and we'll be true," etc., etc. So many annoying songs in that musical...though I have to admit that sometimes I get in the mood for it!
