No clue what I'm doing up at 7:30, since I stayed up so late last night.
Worked for most of the day-- cleaning up the house, helping put together bookshelves, doing laundry.
Then as a reward, we went to go see The Island. 10:00 showing, and the movie's a little over two hours (hence my wondering why I'm up before noon).
As for the movie itself... wheeeee. lol
Seen a few critics complaining about how it starts off as sci-fi and then turns into 'a Michael Bay' movie part of the way through, and you know what? I don't care.
I basically promised myself I wasn't going to go see a Michael Bay movie after I heard about the whole "WWII pilot saying, 'who's da man?' in Pearl Harbor", but . . . 2 hours of Ewan McGregor vs. principles. Sorry, principles.
It was a lot of fun. Had a few freaky moments, some incredibly cool cars/motorcycles, a very lucky Scarlett Johansen (who I don't think I've seen anywhere before, but I liked her in this. May have to cybercast her in something).
And about 3/4 of the way through, since this is a movie about clones, my suspicion is confirmed and I am rewarded by two Ewan McGregors up onscreen.
Me (as this whole amusing Dueling Brogues thing is going on): "Best. Movie. Ever." ;-)
Anyway, we did not win the Powerball last night, so unfortunately work still has to be done. First I have to go find some breakfast. Or do the sensible (lazy) thing and go back to bed.
