You ever had a dream that stayed on your mind all day, and not for good reasons? I mean, if I'm going to have a memorable dream, I'd rather dream that I'm engaging in recreational activities on LOST island. But no.

I dreamt I was standing on this dark green metal bridge in London. I don't know why I'm sure it's London, since I've never been there (maybe my mind was just making an easy joke based on the fact that it was chilly and raining). In the dream everything was going wrong; all the people I cared about were dead or had abandoned me and I'd finally just decided, 'hell with it'.

Someone was trying to talk me down, but I have no idea who. All I know was that I didn't listen for a long time, and then I started to turn back toward whoever was talking to me and my foot slipped and I woke up.

It makes no sense. As I said, never been to London. And I'm scared of heights; if I was going to kill myself no way I'd do it by jumping off a bridge. Talk about adding insult to injury.

But I've still had to deal with this all day--

Logic: It didn't mean anything; just forget it.
Superstition: What if it was trying to warn you somehow?
Logic: Do not be ridiculous.
Superstition: Maybe it was predicting your death.
Logic: Would you shut up?

Tomorrow I'll probably laugh about all this-- provided I don't have another freaky dream-- but right now, just . . . yeah.

I need to actually write something, instead of typing out a few notes and then staring at the computer screen in a state of utter uselessness. But, doesn't look like that's going to happen tonight either.

I'm just going to find something cheerful to read, blame Monday, and be done with it.

Very rarely are dreams literal. If you are dreaming that you tried to kill yourself, it could mean that you feel like you are killing a piece of you somehow, like not following a dream, destructing a relationship or something like that. It wouldn't hurt you to jot it down in as much detail as you can, that way you can go back when you aren't still in the moment and analyze to see if it does apply somewhere.

okay I used to be big into analyze dreams. I had a bunch of books. Your dream means something but it probably doesnt have anything to do with predicting your death. The bridge stands for something, so does the rain. Probably London too. Im sure there are sites ont he web where you can look it up. Id do it right now for you but Ill be late for work! LOL
sorry I wasnt here last nite. I did get to the story where vander goes to see kirana and trader leaves to go talk to anabel. I think that needs work too but dang, we were good!

Hm, now I'm curious as to what those things apparently stand for. lol Will look them up.

And yeah, the story that you just got to is the first one I have on my list of 'things we need to work on'. :-) Later!

yup, don't think too deeply about it, but try to figure out what they may symbolize. bridges tend to be about a road you take to reach a goal. your wanting to kill yourself, not listening to the one who wanted to talk you down MIGHT mean some kind of difficulties you're having in achiving that goal. there's no predicting to it, but it's probably just a way for your brain to relieve some of the stress you may be through... maybe from the recent lack of writing? *shrug* dreams CAN tell us stuff about ourselves, but I doubt someone else can tell ya what I mean. I try to think of my own dreams in my own terms. :)
