We got swamped in the last hour and a half of work today. At least one carful of customers provided some amusement: two guys and a girl (the driver).
Me: *finishing taking the order* "Would you like anything else?"
Guy #1: "Yeah, I'll take a blond in blue shorts. You have one of those in there?"
Me: "Not at the moment, no."
Guy #2: "Well, a redhead'd be fine, too. A tall one." He grins. "Hey, how tall are you?"
Me: "Eheh." *ducks back inside to get the food*
((I do not flirt well. If I'm not talking to someone I know, when a guy starts flirting I'll look around to see who else he might possibly be talking to, and then I'll stammer.))
Me: *coming back to the window* "The total is ****."
Guy #1: *looking at my left hand* "Yep, a ring."
Guy #2: "Hey, just because she's married doesn't mean she can't flirt."
Girl: "I am never taking you guys anywhere again."
So that was a bit of a change in routine.
And I got a new portrait from Warsheep Productions today! I'll be putting it and its accompanying story up on my webpage soon, so I'll make another post linking to it when I'm done. Now I have to figure out who to request next. :-)
In other news . . . LOST finale tonight!!

A few weeks ago my parents got us tickets to a sneak preview of MI3, so we went to the theatre. I ended up going in and out of the theatre a handful of times, bathroom, food, food again, etc. before the movie started up. Because it was a sneak preview, there was a PR company working the doors and there were two really good looking guys, probably about my age, in tuxedos standing on either side of the door. The last time that I went out for food, as I was walking back towards the doors, the two guys perked up. One guy said "Heeeey..." and pointed towards me. I hit cloud nine. It felt so good to be noticed, married or not. I was ready to float to my chairs when he finished his sentence with "... those are those mini-hamburgers I was telling you about!"
My ego is still bruised, rofl!
