Christmas update

Well, the running-around for the day is done . . . went to visit my parents, my grandmother, and Chris's family. All before 2:00, because that was when Chris had to be at work.
And we're probably going to be unconscious for a good long while tomorrow, because we stayed up until 3 in the morning last night (Devin brought over Dawn of the Dead and The Hills Have Eyes for nice cheerful holiday fare). Pictures from last night and this morning under the cut.

Told you.
We knew what kind of evening it was going to be when Chris made a dessert pizza, then turned on the oven light and sat down in front of the oven. Devin and I immediately sat down next to him:
Me: "Oh, Food Network."
Chris: "That was bad, dear. Besides, it's a samurai movie. Having trouble reading the subtitles, though."
Devin: "I love happy endings!"
Me: "There's the music credits. I was wondering who performed the end song."
Chris: "Nothing extra after the credits, though. Darn."
Devin: "See, this is how I know we have problems."
Photographic evidence of further problems:
After dinner I said, "Hey, since we're watching Dawn of the Dead-- cannibalism time. C'mere, kid." He retaliated.

However, we soon decided the cat would make a better meal.

The next morning:

Mom, possibly the one sane person in our family.

Dad's usual pose for the cameras.

Unless he's caught unawares, like when he's showing one of those new slideshow photo frames to Devin. ;-)

Happy me. Also got the Official Visual Companion-- soon mom'll be borrowing those, and we'll be borrowing the next season of CSI. *s*
And finally, here's a picture of the necklace that Kath sent me--
