Criminal Minds

01. The first character I fell in love with: Elle

02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Jason Gideon. I was a little standoffish with him at first, but then the episode with the two killers (brothers, I think) in the woods, and he comforted one of the killers when he was dying because at that point he wasn't a threat, just a human being in pain, and he didn't ignore that out of a sense of vengeance.

03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Oh man I just blanked on his name. Penelope's boyfriend? I'm on-again off-again with him.

04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Probably Elle. I see a lot of "feminist ball-breaker" stuff associated with her. Which would be why I don't hang out in the fandom at large.

05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Hm. Don't really have a character on there that I don't like.

06. The character I would shag anytime: Spencer. Because he's adorable.

07. The character I want to be like: Penelope. She's such an amazing character, holding on to her joy and sense of self in a job that you'd think would break her.

08. The character I'd slap: Morgan, but only when he was going over to that one woman's house and insisting it was something he'd do for any family member of a crime victim. And even then, I would probably just roll my eyes at it, but then he snapped at Penelope when she called him on his self-delusion. At any other time, I love Morgan.

09. A pairing that I love: Morgan/Penelope. Though their friendship is awesome enough that I almost don't mind if the show never takes it there. And I know that she's married and all, but a teeny part of me still loves the whole Spencer/JJ thing that they seemed to be playing with at the beginning of the show.

10. A pairing that I hate: Can't think of one. Not a ton of pairings on the show.

11. Favorite character: Cannot decide this. On to the next question.

12. My five favorite characters: That's better. Sortof. Penelope, Spencer, Morgan, Prentiss, and Hotch.

13. My five least favorite characters: Does not compute.

14. Which character I am most like: No idea.

15. My deep, dark fandom secret: Don't really have one.

Supernatural

01. The first character I fell in love with: Dean. The smart-alecks get me every time.

02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Castiel.

03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Hm. Ruby near the end of her run, I guess? The manipulation and everything skeeved me out so much that I couldn't really enjoy her one-liners like I once had.

04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Judging from what I remember from my brief journey into fandom, that would be Bela. I loved her so much and I hated how the end of her storyline was done. Feh.

05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Not any characters who are still around that I don't love. Can I say that I don't love how there are very few of the main cast left?

06. The character I would shag anytime: Dean, or John. Sam would be on the list, but he has creeped me out one too many times.

07. The character I want to be like: Ellen. In the "absolute badass" sense, not in the "eventually loses everyone she ever loves" sense.

08. The character I'd slap: Well, I think practically everybody on the show has had a slappable moment. Don't know.

09. A pairing that I love: I really liked Sam with Sarah. I know, Season 1 episode, she's never been back, etc. And I think if they'd been able to work more with Bela's character, eventually Dean/Bela could've been interesting.

10. A pairing that I hate: Dean/Jo. The vibe between them always struck me as more brother/sister than lovers.

11. Favorite character: Again, not picking. Can't.

12. My five favorite characters: Dean, Sam, Bobby, Ellen, and a tie between Mary and Castiel.

13. My five least favorite characters: I suppose it would probably be cheating to put YED and Lilith and whatnot here, wouldn't it?

14. Which character I am most like: Dunno.

15. My deep, dark fandom secret: ???

And he is still not asleep. Oh well. If he keeps up with the insomnia, maybe I'll do one for Firefly later. :-)

We're borrowing Devin's new copy of Season 5! Just got to the episode with Paris Hilton guest-starring. The writers are all complete dorks, and I love it. :-) Though they were mean to me; for a minute there I thought they might possibly be leading up to at least a momentary John cameo and then no. I want that character to come back so bad.

And I don't know how Sam does it, but I was so mad at him at the end of the last season and now I can't hang on to that at all. He needs to quit with the wounded-puppy eyes.

Ellen and Jo are made of kickassery, as usual.

The Trickster needs to come back this season.

The guy playing Zacariah is so freaking creepy.

I was a little on-again off-again with Castiel at first, but I love him so much now. "I'll just wait here then. . ." Hee.

Devin said that this season ends on an even bigger cliffhanger than the last one. I said, "The last one ended with them opening a portal to hell and setting Lucifer free; what could possibly be a bigger cliffhanger than that?" and he just smiled at me. My brother is evil. But not as evil as the writers.

The time it must've taken to make this is insane:

Supernatural Monopoly
changeyourstars8: (Default)
After watching the Scrubs musical episode yet again, and remembering how popular the Buffy musical episode is (for people who have seen the series-- if I look this episode up, will I have any idea what's going on?) it occurred to me that what the world really needs is a Supernatural musical episode.

C'mon, Kripke, the track list for that would be phenomenal. ;-)

Okay, so.

Nobody has to get detailed, but I have been stalling like crazy on watching the last three episodes of Supernatural because I've got this really bad feeling that they're going to kill Bela and if they do it's going to depress me for a week.

I asked my brother, who's seen them all, and he says he doesn't remember. I asked how in the world he could not remember something like that, and he said once I see the last few minutes of the season that I'll understand. Yeah, like that doesn't worry me, too.

So spill it, people, yes or no: does Bela live through the season or not?

((and so help me, if they do kill her they had best be bringing Ellen or John or Missouri back. Yes, it's the Sam and Dean show, but it's not the Sam and Dean ONLY show. I want my awesome recurring characters, dammit))

Spoilers are, of course, under the cut.

And oh man, I just realized I only have three episodes left. Then it's waiting until Season 4 comes out on DVD. Aieeeee
changeyourstars8: (Eye of the Tiger)
Will hopefully get to a more in-depth review of latest episodes watched sometime next week (Jus in Bello OMG), but for now:

We're driving back home after ordering some more checks from the bank, and I'm doing my usual 'keep switching stations until I manage to find a good song' thing. And what do I find but "Heat of the Moment".

So of course I go into Dean's point-and-lip-synch routine.

Result? My husband does an actual real-life facepalm. The day is a good one. ;-)

Finally got the time to watch a few more Season 3 episodes. Much babbling under the cut. :-)

This wins. Forever. :-)

I clearly need a 'Jensen Ackles is the biggest nerd ever and I love him for it' tag. Hee

changeyourstars8: (I kill with my heart)
Okay, so I finally got my grabby little hands on a copy (borrowing from my brother until ours arrives from amazon) and watched part of it last night. Spoilers under the cut!

And that's all until I watch some more episodes.

-- thought processes after watching P.S. I Love You.

Hormones: "Hellllll-lo."
Brain: "Oh, not again. Now what?"
Hormones: "How did I get through two seasons of Supernatural without noticing that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is hot?"
Brain: "Easy. You were too busy ogling Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki."
Hormones: "Still. I should be better at multitasking by now. And speaking of multitasking, Gerard Butler isn't half bad either. . ."
Brain: "No. You stop it right now; I mean it."
Hormones: "What?"
Brain: "Every time you find somebody else to squeak over you end up wasting time on a Google images search and we have too much to do today."
Hormones: "Yeah? Like what?"
Brain: "Laundry and dishes, and the CDs and DVDs need organized, and of course Kaylee needs to be fed and changed, and some recipes need typed up, and we really should hang up those pictures that have been sitting on the shelf for--" *collapses under weight of list* "Help."
Hormones: "Sure thing. In a few minutes."
Brain: "I hate you."
Hormones: "I can handle that." *skips off to Google*

I read fanfiction. Specifically, Supernatural fanfiction. [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess's John/Mary stories are absolutely lovely.

My favorite so far is "Straight On 'Til Morning", with "Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch" coming in a closeclose second.

You know how good she is? Anything with a Sam/Dean pairing is very much not my cup of tea (I know, that puts me in with .0001% of the fandom or something) but I'm tempted to read hers anyway. :-)
changeyourstars8: (I kill with my heart)
Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] ficangel! Here, have an icon of Dean being all Dark Tower-ish. ;-)
changeyourstars8: (Supernatural)
My new favorite Supernatural fanfic ever. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] newredshoes for pointing it out. :-)
changeyourstars8: (Song)
Indeed I am. :-D

Ten minutes after I made my last post, I went downstairs and we started the next to last episode-- and what song do they play over the recap but "Carry On Wayward Son".

Me: "Eeeeeee!!!"
Chris: "Yeah, those were my eardrums. They'll be missed."

This actually happened once before . . . I was looking forward to seeing Hard Rain, and my cousin was visiting and playing one of her Jars of Clay CDs. It got to the song "Flood" and I said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if they played this somewhere in the movie?" I nearly forgot all about it until I was sitting in the theater, and that song started playing over the end credits.

But back to Supernatural . . . gah, cliffhanger of doom! The writers are evil. *begins the long, impatient wait for Season 2 on DVD*
changeyourstars8: (Supernatural)
Only two episodes left . . . when is the second season coming out on DVD? :-P

I want two things to happen: 1) I want to see Sarah from the episode Provenance come back, because I really liked her, and 2) I want one of the songs they play to be Kansas's "Carry On Wayward Son".

All for now.
changeyourstars8: (Thrilling Heroics)
Thought this one was going to get here on Friday or Saturday, but no. *S* Now the very happy owner of the sixth season of M*A*S*H, the first season of Supernatural, and Oscar and Lucinda. :-)

TV-watching time.

(and speaking of TV-watching . . . new LOST tomorrow!)
