Jun. 18th, 2005 05:50 pmMade about sixty dollars today; not too bad. Sold three books, and some cookies (there are plenty of amaretto candies left, so I'll stick them in the fridge to wait for Ashley's arrival. That way she won't kill me).
It was incredibly hot out there today, and our spot got changed due to double-booking, so we barely had any shade. I put on sunscreen, but still-- hello, sunburn. Gah.
Although, that wasn't the worst part.
I recognized the song that one of the local bands was playing, and was fairly happy about that until they got to the chorus and I realized they were singing, "Sweet Home New Jerusalem" instead of "Sweet Home Alabama." And then they started in with a revised version of "Takin' Care of Business", called "We Been Praisin' Jesus".
Me-- "Dammit! I have candy and cookies, but no tomatoes! I neeeeeeeeed tomatoes!"
Aside from the heat and the 'music', though, it was fun. :-)
