When Characters Attack, part 93....
Jul. 28th, 2005 06:48 pmSo, mentally, this is what my day has been like:
Cast of one book: "Hi! We know you're supposed to be editing this, and therefore we're going to be as uncooperative as possible with you. Neener." *all scurry off*
Me: "Well, dammit."
Cast of as-yet-unwritten book: "Hi! We know that we're part of a book that has to take place after another book you haven't written yet, and therefore we're going to chatter endlessly, since you can't do anything about it yet except take notes!"
Me: *whimper* "No more plot bunnies right now. Shoo."
Cast of a series temporarily on hold: "Excuse us, but are you ever going to get around to writing for us again??"
Me: "I want to, seriously. But right now it's kinda one-project-at-a-time and we're almost done with this other book and then hopefully, yeah. Honest. I mean it this time??"
Two characters in a current series who are not involved: "Hi! We know that we've barely spoken to each other in the actual books, but now we're going to come up with elaborate and interesting stories for us that are very not PG-13."
Me: "Aieeeee, cut that out! I have too much to do already, I am not going to start writing fanfiction for a book I'm helping to write!"
Some days it doesn't pay to be a writer.
Wait. Most days it doesn't pay to be a writer, unless you're Stephen King or J.K. Rowling.
My point . . . is that I am going to go find snackables, and then try once again to convince all these people that I am in control, not them.
You'll probably be able to hear them laughing at me.

You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
