Dec. 22nd, 2005 06:06 pmGot a lot of baking done today . . . made candies and almond bark-covered pretzels and truffles for our new neighbors and my coworkers. So Chris and I will be passing those out tomorrow, and then we'll get started on the preparations for our Christmas party. Including cleaning, because I've had my office set up for about a week and already there are papers scattered all over the floor. I swear I'm a mess magnet.
Anyway, I was going to type out an opinion-post about the whole "Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays" kerfluffle (which I haven't had to deal with at my place of work, yay, but boy have there been some horror stories over at customers_suck), but then I found this and decided to post it instead.
Proof that the House of Representatives can sometimes be entertaining.

Speaking of reading material, this is a bit more on the serious side, but it deals with some of the same topics and it's one of those, "Wow, I wish I'd written this" pieces. There's even a Greek mythology reference. :-)
