Time to get a new stove

For background: one of our cats, Zot, loves to jump up on the kitchen counter. (We put him back on the floor every time we catch him, but he's about as smart as a breath mint, so he never remembers. Next up, a water bottle.) From the counter, he likes to jump on the back of the stove and play vulture.

A few minutes ago, he decided to just skip the counter step and jump straight onto the stove. The gas stove.

Zot: *leaps*
Paw: *hits switch*
Flame: *shoots up*
Zot: "Huh?"

I was about ten feet away, and I teleported over there or something and snatched him up as he started to actually sniff at the flame. (see above: breath mint)

Oy.

"Drive" canceled

See, this is why I generally do not get into TV shows until they are actually on DVD. Because then I get disappointed when executives are dumbasses.

Oh well. At least I can watch The Bachelor! *eyeroll*
