Day 23

Today is two links from my friends list:

First is from _yggdrasil, who writes:

"My teacher I mentioned who happened to be in Los Angeles when the earthquake struck Japan? I just found out that he went back to Tokyo, bought 10,000 blankets plus what food and fuel are available, and is heading into the afflicted zone to bring people supplies."

Second is from crevette. She's been on my friends list for a while now; awesomely funny person and weird in the best way. She writes:

"I am a finalist in a contest to win a free lap band surgery. I have a one in three chance in winning, I just need to have the most votes by April 1, 2010. There are two surgeries being given away, one by each doctor.

This is the real deal, including counseling and lifetime follow up. This is something that could change my life, and my family's life."
