I don't care for the Twilight books or films, though I have friends that love them. My Mother is also a huge fan and is pretty much forcing me to go to see "New moon" with her, ha. I just don't get the appeal of these books at all. I actually can enjoy a bit of "rough romance" or however you'd like to call as long as it is with consent from both (or more) people involved.
Oddly enough, erotica books treat "rough romance" as more of a fantasy than these vampire novels do. It's always just for fantasy sake, but with the Twilight books, there is an author and tons of young readers who seem to think this kind of relationship is healthy and ideal.
