-- Three days ago, it was seventy degrees here. Now we've got about a foot of snow. Yay Kansas!
-- We just rented the miniseries Alice . . . I am totally in love with it. As in, I would write fanfiction if I had the time love. Also, Andrew Lee Potts is completely adorable.
-- Conversation my father had with Kaylee yesterday:
Dad: "So are you and Ian still planning to take over the world when you get older?"
Kaylee: "Uh-huh."
Dad: "Any new plans for how to do it?"
Kaylee: "Uh-huh."
Dad: "Can the rest of us get in on these plans?"
Kaylee (complete with Very Serious Look): "No."
-- Day 9:
Safe Shelter
From their website:
"SAFE Shelter is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to victims of domestic violence and their children. Open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, the shelter offers 48 beds, all meals and clothes and other services, all at no charge to clients.
The shelter first opened its doors to victims in Savannah in 1979. Since then, thousands have come and gone through its doors, seeking relief from the violence in their own homes. The shelter maintains partnerships with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, Chatham County Sheriff’s Department, Rape Crisis Center, Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center, Chatham County Victim Witness Assistance Program and other local agencies dedicated to providing services to women and children."
