Love Tangled. Love love LOVE.

Not sure why it ended up getting a PG instead of the usual G-- I'm guessing it was either the stabbing thing, or the fact that the villain was actually realistic, instead of the usual over-the-top, "Wheeee, I'm evil and it's fun!" type. The emotional manipulation had me cringing at points.

But Rapunzel! Flynn Eugene! Pascal and Maximus! Random mime and Cupid guys! I kinda want to hurry out to the store and buy it right now.

The emotional manipulation hit a little too close to home for me and triggered me like crazy. I almost left the theater multiple times because I felt like I was going to scream, cry, yell, throw up, throw something, etc. I wish I'd been warned about that before going to see it so close after Christmas when I had to stop denying and deal directly with the hell that emotional abuse/manipulation was wreaking on my family. I'd probably do better now several months removed but I don't think I'll be seeing it again. It will probably always hit a little too close to home. :-( It's a shame, too because aside from that it really was a wonderful movie.

That said, I'm pretty sure most Disney movies get a PG because they are all a little on the dark side, don't they?

It was quite delightful, I agree. I just watched it a few days ago.
