I get the feeling that your husband is not a brainless idiot, completely focused on his own self without much concern for his wife.
Point #2. lol And I'm sure he would help out any way he could. I guess it's just reverse psychology coming back to bite me. When I was about thirteen or so I thought having kids'd be grand. Then I went through high school and a couple of years after without even dating anyone, much less having a serious relationship, and I consoled myself with, "Well, it's for the best. You'd probably be a bad mother anyway and here's twenty reasons why, and look at this and this and that you could get in terms of medical problems." So now-- yeah.
It faded away eventually, and thank god for that.
