You see all these depressing and/or annoying news headlines, and it almost makes you want to give up on staying current . . . but then once in a while, you see something that should be subtitled 'Dave Barry is not making this up'.

Well, my father (who is graciously working on the sending-stuff-to-publishers angle for me, since he knows more about it than I do) has just finished reading through the first novel I gave him for the collaboration-- In the Darkness Find Me-- and is coming in here in a few minutes to discuss it with me.

Now entering Nervous As All Hell phase.

Hallelujah, that did not suck. LOL

He basically liked it-- had a few suggestions as to which character's p.o.v. I used during certain scenes, and thought that maybe I had too *much* dialogue (I'm still working on that), but overall, good.

Yay!

I will get to work on a second draft . . . *after* the honeymooon.
