About that Duke Lacrosse Thing

Sums up my feelings very well, and a lot more articulately than "dammit, dammit, dammit", which is what I was just about to post when I came across that.

That pretty much sums up my feelings on this too. The biggest villains in this were the insanely bad prosecutors/police and whoever really hurt that woman. I personally feel sure that something happened to her, even if it wasn't what she described, and that possibly months of people doubting her might have made her doubt herself and get it mixed up in her head.

On the other hand, I don't think the Duke guys had anything to do with anything. If she hadn't identified them from a badly conducted lineup, they wouldn't even have been involved in this to begin with. Wanting to make them villains because they're privileged isn't fair.

Going back to the business of posting the woman's info all over everything and calling her a liar, that's just bunk and the people who do that deserve to have the same happen to them.

I still think that someone in that house DID rape her.

But, the case is too tainted now by bad prosecution.

Also, the trolls showing up at Jill's post are vile, vile creatures.

Agreed.

And there are trolls now? Ugh. I'm not surprised in the slightest, but I can't even make myself go and read their comments. I'd give myself a rage-induced aneurysm or something. :-P
