I am staying inside where the world can't get me.

This morning I got up and got ready for work, feeling kinda blah. Took some ginger to help with that, and went outside. That's where I found your friend and mine, the really big spider that's taken up residence on our porch. For the past three mornings, he's built a web across the supports, right about at head level. No big deal, I just go down the side steps and drive to the donut shop.

Start feeling a lot more than just 'blah' as I drive in, and before I can even go start my shift I have to get to the bathroom. Over the next half hour, I had to go back to the bathroom two more times, and I finally decided heck with it and asked if I could go home early. Fortunately it's a Monday, so it wasn't a problem.

I get home, head for the door, and guess what. If you guessed "walked right into the spiderweb" congratulations, have an e-cookie.

Too bad the neighbors weren't outside, they probably would've gotten a kick out of my 'oh my god oh my god is there a spider in my hair' dance. (No, fortunately. After I got done frantically swiping at my hair I looked back to see the spider scrambling up to the porch roof on what scraggly threads remained of his web.)

Definitely staying inside.

ouch!

hope you blah sicky feeling goes away soon. as for the spider thing-- shudder. I think he needs to move. to a nice condo in the backyard. put him in a tree or something. or maybe take a walk with him in a jar and let him go on someone elses lawn. better yet, make chris help with the move!

I think he needs to move, too. I'll probably try the whole anime-eyes thing to convince Chris to deal with it. lol

They like that area, for some reason. The Porch Spider's lookalike has made a home in the rearview mirror of our van, which is parked about six feet away. Every night he'll build a web between the mirror and the window, and every morning he will hang on for dear life, probably cursing at me, as I drive to work.

And I'm feeling a bit better . . . currently convincing myself that I really should eat something, or at least have something to drink. It will probably not end well, but at least I'll have tried.

I saw a big daddy longlegs on my ceiling last night. So I took my portable vacuum cleaner and vacuumed it. It was really quite efficient.

Ohhh man, those things still kinda creep me out. I was at a friend's house several years back and we went to explore her father's garage, and the floor seemed to be moving, there were so many of them. Gah.
