Picture of a flock of carrier pigeons. The description said that the flocks could be miles wide.













We had to go see the dolphin show. :-)






I'm not entirely sure what this is, just that it's the grumpiest looking bird I've ever seen.


Well, maybe it's a close second.




The ink showed up a bit better on his hands than on his face in this picture, but you get the idea. ;-)

Yay, Sue! I went to the Field Museum a few years ago for the APS meeting. It was kind of neat because we had the dinner at the museum at night, so I got to wander around the exhibits without any people in semi-darkness.

Oh, that'd be fun! :-) Dad told me that they used to have one of the tigers in a room by itself, with only a spotlight on it, so that when you turned the hallway corner you were practically face-to-face with it. Not sure if they changed that display to save space, or to cut down on the number of heart attacks. . .
