New TV show addiction: Dexter. We're about halfway through the first season.

There are still tons of shows on the to-buy list. Should wait before getting hooked on more, I know, but it's about a snarky serial killer. What were the chances of me not checking it out?

Seriously, any show that can inspire both long conversations about vigilante ethics and possibilities for Halloween costumes (I need plastic sheeting, a wooden box, slides, and red food coloring) is fine by me. ;-)

Ooh, I love Dexter! It may seem like a strange show for a seminarian to like, but I think it actually has really interesting things to say about good, evil, and how we relate to one another. *nods solemnly*

Definitely. I'm a sucker for shows that aren't very clear-cut in terms of 'good guys' and 'bad guys', and I could probably write an essay on why I think Dexter is a better person than Rita's ex, even though technically he's committed the more serious crimes.
