And now for something completely shallow

There are a bunch of righteous-anger-inducing things going on in the news and a few 'eeek' things going on in my life, and therefore I need a distraction. Solution? Eye candy post.
So, soooo many pictures behind this cut.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan

As if the whole "great actor and by the way, hot" thing wasn't enough, there's this:
But the love of Morgan's life has four legs: She's a 9-year-old Rottweiler mix named Bisou, French slang for kiss. “She's pretty awesome," Morgan says of the dog he rescued as a 2-day-old pup. “I was walking on the boardwalk in Venice, Calif., and these kids were selling puppies in a cardboard box," he recalls. “There was this little runt, maybe four inches long, so I took her home and bottle-fed her. She got her name because she couldn't open her eyes yet and kind of kissed her way around."
At which point I'm pretty sure I actually flailed.
And as long as we're on the "people I first saw on Supernatural" theme--
Jensen Ackles

Jared Padalecki

((*mails self to the Supernatural set*))

Samantha Ferris

To the writers: please make Ellen a main character, k? Thanks!
Moving on. . .
Rachel Weisz

If you haven't seen The Constant Gardener yet, go. The rest of these pics will be here when you get back. It's such a beautiful movie. Wasn't sure I'd like it at first, what with the whole Huge International Conspiracy and the One Man Who Must Find The Truth thing, but it doesn't play out the way you might expect, with him solving everything and yay (hi, unrealistic). It's much more about him discovering who his wife really was, and so much hinges on Weisz's performance, that we as the audience want to find out who she was, too, and she just pulls it off perfectly.
Ralph Fiennes

I think I've thanked Kath for ordering me to get to the rental store and pick up The English Patient a few years back, but if I haven't-- thanks. ;-)
(also, if there is any response other than "yes please" to the above picture, I can't think of it)
Angela Bassett

Pic is from Strange Days, the first movie I saw her in. Her character was stubborn and tough and practical and utterly badass. Love at first sight. lol
Christian Slater

I think if I ever met any of the other people on this list, I could get out a coherent sentence. It might very well be a stupid one, but it'd be understandable. Him? Liked him since I was fifteen, which means I'd be lucky to get the whole 'smile without looking like a psycho freak' thing down. Ah well. :-)
Ewan McGregor

Cannot say enough good things here. :-)
Bonus picture, from the miniseries Scarlet and Black:

Gina Torres

Alan Tudyk

We rented Death at a Funeral (loved it!) a few weeks ago. Chris fell asleep about ten minutes in because he'd just gotten off a long shift at work, and woke up partway through to blink at the screen and sleepily ask, "Hon? Why is Wash naked on our TV?" "Drugs are involved." "Oh. Okay." and he promptly went back to sleep.
Heck, have the rest of the Firefly cast.

Josh Holloway

Also known as, "one of the only reasons I stuck with LOST as long as I did".
Naveen Andrews

The other one. ;-)
And to round out the "people from TV shows" part of this picspam:
Sendhil Ramamurthy

Rosario Dawson

First saw her as Mimi in the movie version of RENT (which had its flaws, yeah, but I really liked her in the role). And then I find out about Grindhouse. Love love love love. Of the two movies, I liked Death Proof better, though Planet Terror was pretty fun.
Christian Bale

Yes, I know, Batman-- but this is the movie I first saw him in and the one I'll probably always like best.
Hugh Jackman

Aishwarya Rai

Daniel Craig & Eva Green

They need to be in a movie together where there's lots of sarcastic snarky banter and hot sex. And where both of them live through the movie. *eyes Casino Royale*
Kate Winslet

Joaquin Phoenix

Obligatory Quills pic!

Catherine Zeta Jones

Oded Fehr

So when I went to go see the sequel to The Mummy, and then later in the week went again because mom invited me, and then again when my friend came to visit and wanted to catch a movie? He's why I didn't mind at all. :-)
Add your own! Tell me why you're a fan or just post a picture; I basically limited myself to 25 so I know I'm missing some. ;-) Give me pics to add to my overcrowded folder!

Tell me about it. Okay, so that's probably a weird thing to say considering that I'm already married, but . . . *shifty eyes*

Date: 2008-09-24 05:04 pm (UTC)And I know, he definitely needs more screen time. Preferably of the half-naked variety. (I did say this was a shallow post) ;-)
Love the icon!
