EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I think my little Greek-mythology-fangirl heart just exploded. 1) the casting in and of itself is insanely awesome, and 2) when I was working on the Gods and Goddesses scenes in WWS (and a few months ago when I started tentatively plotting out a less kid-friendly book solely about the Greek Deities), I always pictured Ralph Fiennes as Hades. This is going to be so. cool.

I love the original movie and don't see why they must remake it! It was Harryhausen-tastic! That is its appeal! It doesn't need to be updated!

The cast is pretty great, though.

Oh, I love the original movie, too! The one thing that's always a plus about remakes (esp. in the cases where the casting is not as great as this) is that at least the original starts getting more play on TV/a better DVD release.
