Who else remembers Oregon Trail?

This is waaaay too familiar.

Any time I sat in front of the screen with that shotgun in my hand, I became a trigger happy maniac. Pouncing on the spacebar at the slightest hint of a squirrel scurrying past that rock that was always in the bottom left. I would kill anything that moves, and by the time my hunting trip was over, I would have several thousand pounds of deer meat and rocky mountain oysters as trophies. However, the wagon can only hold so much, so I would be forced to carry only a couple of dead rabbits back with me, leaving a pile of forty dead land mammals in my wake. Even knowing I couldn't take them with me, I never missed an opportunity to fell a gaggle of bears just to watch them die.

Hahahaha, I remember that! I used to kill the hell out of the buffalo! Travel for two more days (which in real time was 5 seconds), then shoot some more shit! I'd get deer 6, 7 deep, just piled on top of one another. I never even had to move the mouse; the damn things all ran across the same path! You'd think they'd catch on by the pile of rotting corpses but no, they still idled on by, like they wanted me to kill them, the damn things! Animals that stupid deserve to be shot, if you ask me....

Hee! Yeah, I'd just spend 3/4 of the game hunting. I was completely ineffective at anything else, but boy could I shoot stuff. ;-)
