Hmm, I actually really enjoyed Wedding Crashers. I'm a diehard feminist but context is really everything...and in the context of the film I don't think the scenes she describes are nearly as bad as they sound when taken out of context. It's a slapstick comedy featuring exaggerated characters and situations...we laugh at all kinds of things in comedies that we would never laugh at were they portrayed realistically. And I definitely don't think it's right to judge the film or the people who enjoyed it as harshly as some of the people commenting on her post are without having even seen the film in question. *shrug*
I can understand that-- and honestly, I wasn't really planning to watch it anyway (most slapstick comedies aren't really my thing), I think it was just the quoted comment about "I feel like Jodie Foster in The Accused" that got to me, because I saw that movie at probably far too young an age, and was really seriously disturbed by it, and the thought of a character bringing it up in a joke kinda squicks me out.
