I love some customers . . . had a guy in today who was talking on about how evil liberals are, and how Brokeback Mountain is an insult to westerns and cowboys and "real men" like John Wayne, and how war movies never really succeed because of the stupid hippies who want peace on earth. I was quite proud of myself, I refrained from saying anything. But I did wish that I was wearing a peace sign necklace and tie-dye shirt under my coat so I could fling the coat off and start singing Joy to the World. ;-)

After I got off work, we went grocery shopping for the Christmas dinner . . . considering that and the purchase of the computer, I don't even want to think about next month's credit card bill.

But on the good side of things, I think we've got everything ready for Christmas. Chris is going to make ham and a pasta dish and an apple pie, and I'm making a cheesecake and almond-bark pretzels and truffles and some molded candies (both for the party and for my coworkers and neighbors). What are you guys doing for the holidays?

Drooling over your truffles. lol

Lucky me, I don't have to work Christmas, so I get to go to Aunt Judy's and eat all day. I can hear my stomach scream in anticipated agony.

And I'm going to be a good girl and not bash in the head of that customer. You've got a lot more self control than I do.

I'll see what I can do about making sure there's enough truffles left over for when you visit. Or when we visit you. Or both. I dunno-- would you coming down late Friday or early Saturday and then us heading to Wichita on Sunday be too much driving? LOL (I could take a Monday off, but I don't know about Chris)

As for the customer-- the temptation to get a glass of water and start flicking the contents at him while shouting, "The power of intelligence compels you!" was almost too much. ;-)

I dunno. It all depends what I can get off first. We need to decide on a weekend first. I think sometime in late Janurary would be the best time.

we have a family Christmas eve dinner. Black diamond steak, shrimp cocktail, veggies and dip and fried potato skins with the works (again). Christmas day is too much, really. Here, my parents, back to coutures. Are you staying at home for your Christmas dinner or going to parents/inlaws?

We're getting up early, heading over to my parents' house, then over to my grandma's, and then over to Chris's parents house for breakfast. LOL Then we're coming back to our house, and cooking food/getting other stuff ready for dinner at 5:30.
