I must comment on tonight's Lost, since it was the coolness (and, *finally* a new episode!!!)
Spoilers, though, so...
I think they did a great job with completely switching the perceptions of two of the main female characters tonight. At least in my opinion, don't know what everyone else thinks. lol
Shannon, before, a lot of people generally thought was a bitch, a spoiled brat, 'useless', etc. Kate was basically looked upon as, to quote Cleolinda, Fugitive with a Heart of Gold. I don't know how many theories I've seen that basically summed up Kate being in custody as 'well, a frame-up job of some kind'.
Or...not.
It's not that I think Kate's helping the bank manager in the end was a bad thing... but need I mention she shouldn't have even been there in the first place? And then blatantly lying to/manipulating Jack and Sawyer. Bleh. And I'm sorry, she can cry all she wants to, but at the moment I'm not feeling too sorry for her.
Shannon, on the other hand . . . I want to see more of her, she's really interesting. Finally portrayed more as 'stuck in patterns and trying to break out' rather than 'I just hate everybody'. I thought it was really cool how she went to Sayid at the end to explain what the writings meant-- if she was really *that* bad, she would've just shut up about the whole thing and let him wonder . . . especially since he'd annoyed her earlier in the day. She did the right thing and helped someone understand something, even though it was difficult to do so ((*hint to Kate*)).
Anyway, those were my thoughts. Subject to change upon seeing more background stories. lol
