A couple of years ago, when Negroponte was appointed ambassador to Iraq, several human rights groups freaked out. Negroponte's wife was asked about her opinion on them, and she said, "Haven't those people moved on?"
Me-- *inarticulate rage*
Either this guy honestly did not know that there were death squads going around killing dissidents (in which case I sure as heck don't want him as any National Intelligence Director) or he knew and condoned it. Either way, the relatives and friends of the people who died are just supposed to 'move on'?
