I am typing this from my parents' computer, because my own has crapped out on me. :-( It's either something Dad can fix, something wrong with the hard drive (which can be fixed for 100 dollars) or I'll have to buy a new computer. Either way, rrrr. So, I've been biding time by helping mom with garage sale stuff and watching movies.

On the movie front, it's been a bizarre weekend. Unfortunately, not in a good way.

Rented the TV-movie version of Dean Koontz's Frankenstein. And I can completely see why he wanted his name taken off of it. The books are reallyreally fun; whoever adapted the script just sucked most of the life out of it. Bleh.

And when I was wandering Family Video, I glanced over at the shelf and saw a movie called It's All About Love, with Joaquin Phoenix and Claire Danes. Me- "Eee!"

I don't really regret renting that one (the cast was good, after all). But man, it seemed to me like the script was written by fifteen different people, half of whom were on crack. Had a lot of nice moments, but overall I had no idea what was going on, so . . .

I think Chris and I are going to have a Stephen King night tonight and watch Rose Red or Storm of the Century. Or both. It's a weekend, after all. ;-)
