Saw an article about that movie The Lake House, and it started off with, "Twelve years after Speed, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock--"

Me: O_o

Twelve years? I did not realize it'd been that long. My cousin and I had that movie memorized the summer after it came out, because we watched it at least once a day, due to her crush on Keanu Reeves. I used to tease her about her infatuation with 'some guy she saw in an action movie', but then I saw Broken Arrow and lost all room to talk. ;-)

I'll definitely be seeing The Lake House; I love time travel movies. (everyone who is reading this who has not seen the movie Somewhere In Time, go find it. Now. And grab a copy of Richard Matheson's novel while you're at it. *s*)

Anyway, on a different topic-- Chris went to talk to his parents for a little while last night, while I got some more typing done. When he came home, he was carrying a gray kitten. Another one was out in the van. :-) His dad had basically 'adopted' the two of them a few weeks back, but since they couldn't keep them indoors. . .

Their names are Molly and Maggie, and they're absolutely adorable (more so when they're not deciding that my leg is a scratching post). Pictures will be taken soon.

12 years! That's, like, as old as my cousin is!

I remember we young'ns were trying to convince our parents to let us see it; it was only rated R for bad language; there was no sex or anything.

Yeah, it took a little wheedling for us, too (though my cousin became a bit of a pro at sneaking R-rated movies into our room and hiding them so they could be watched after grandma went to bed).

My parents pretty much gave up on keeping me away from 'R for bad language' movies early on . . . after I saw Stand By Me, there was really no point to covering my ears in the theater. :-D

I think I saw Coming to America in the theater. That may have been the first time I saw nudity. I was very confused, like, WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE?!

LOL Mine was when I was about eleven, and I rented The Life of Brian . . . I'm sitting there watching the tape and being amused, and the guy walks across the room and we see a shot of his rear end, no big deal, and then he flings open the curtain and "AAAAAAAAGH! WHY WAS I NOT WARNED?!? EW!"
