Saw an article about that movie The Lake House, and it started off with, "Twelve years after Speed, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock--"

Me: O_o

Twelve years? I did not realize it'd been that long. My cousin and I had that movie memorized the summer after it came out, because we watched it at least once a day, due to her crush on Keanu Reeves. I used to tease her about her infatuation with 'some guy she saw in an action movie', but then I saw Broken Arrow and lost all room to talk. ;-)

I'll definitely be seeing The Lake House; I love time travel movies. (everyone who is reading this who has not seen the movie Somewhere In Time, go find it. Now. And grab a copy of Richard Matheson's novel while you're at it. *s*)

Anyway, on a different topic-- Chris went to talk to his parents for a little while last night, while I got some more typing done. When he came home, he was carrying a gray kitten. Another one was out in the van. :-) His dad had basically 'adopted' the two of them a few weeks back, but since they couldn't keep them indoors. . .

Their names are Molly and Maggie, and they're absolutely adorable (more so when they're not deciding that my leg is a scratching post). Pictures will be taken soon.

I'm remembering to watch the Oscars! What that means is, run in here and type during commercial breaks. Expect this post to be edited a lot over the next few hours. :-) I will lj-cut eventually, don't worry.

Preshow, let me just say that Rachel Weisz is totally the one I'm rooting for for Best Supporting Actress-- loved her performance in The Constant Gardener, and just in general everything I've seen her in.

If Rachel Weisz by some chance doesn't win, then Michelle Williams better.

And since those are the two movies I've seen that they've talked about so far, off to check out the TV again.

Okay, a couple of guys are singing something about it being hard to be a pimp. Whaaaaaa??

Other people I'm rooting for-- Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line was very unfairly snubbed in the Best Picture category, have I mentioned this?), Heath Ledger.

Jane Seymour was carrying this tiny little sparkly black and silver guitar, and I want one.

I want to go hug Heath Ledger, he looks so cute. Okay, so that'd end with, "Ummm . . . security? There's a squeaking girl with frizzy hair clinging to me, help," but hey. ;-) And I love Michelle Williams's dress.

The less said about Tim Burton's hair, the better. O_o

I really do need to see Crash soon. And Capote. And Munich. And...

That was kindof cute. They did a 'star-crossed love' montage to Garth Brooks's song "The Dance" showing clips from The New World, Brokeback Mountain . . . and King Kong. The last choice did have me snickering at the TV, yes.

Oscars themselves behind the cut. :-)
