Sep. 15th, 2006 01:51 pmToday, on When Fandoms Collide:
A sum-up of Season 2 of LOST, set to the finale from the musical "Into the Woods". The ending is absolutely perfect. :-)

Aug. 14th, 2006 02:35 pmNothing much going on the past couple of days . . . I've caught up on laundry and dishes. Whee. ;-)
Did find a couple of things to link to, though.
What to Do When You Can't Win an Argument. Love this, because it's so very true. Though a tactic mentioned in the comments-- take everything said as a personal attack even when it's clearly not and thus try to gain sympathy from the cyberaudience-- should be an addition, in my humble opinion. :-)
And, since I haven't posted any LOST videos in a while, here's something to correct the situation:

Jul. 29th, 2006 10:46 amThere are some days when I just know that the world is a perfectly lovely place. How am I so sure? Evidence is given in the form of a Firefly/LOST crossover video. :-D
I have a confession to make, concerning Ana Lucia. And lost-forum.com. And the fact that while looking around in their 'other pairings' forum because I was curious, I saw a thread for Ana/Sayid and I did not automatically loathe the idea. Going to be discussing a whole bunch of spoilers, so the rest of it's going behind a cut.

Jul. 13th, 2006 08:29 pmOh my god. A video of my favorite song from RENT-- though she uses the movie version of La Vie Boheme instead of the musical one, I suppose I can forgive her because she set it to clips from LOST. :-D
Clicky.

Going to Kansas City for the weekend. Need to remember to look up a few restaurants to try out.
Found the box set of Earth 2 on Sunday. Haven't watched it yet, but they did have preview episodes of Sliders, and a show called Cleopatra 2525. I knew I liked Sliders, so we watched the second one . . . oh man. The level of cheese cannot be adequately explained with mere words. But we were about two minutes in and Chris goes, "Isn't that Zoe?" Me-- "Ohmygod, it is!"
These honey-butter pretz/pocky things are the best ever. Ashley, I blame you for getting me addicted to this stuff.
Planning to get another chapter of my alternate-universe ghost novel done this afternoon. I really do need to name this thing.
Sunburn is getting slightly better. I actually have a little bit of a tan, amazingly enough. My shoulder freckles also multiplied by about twenty-two million. Freaking sun.
I miss LOST. I also miss Shannon. *throws things at the writers*

May. 24th, 2006 01:16 pmWe got swamped in the last hour and a half of work today. At least one carful of customers provided some amusement: two guys and a girl (the driver).
Me: *finishing taking the order* "Would you like anything else?"
Guy #1: "Yeah, I'll take a blond in blue shorts. You have one of those in there?"
Me: "Not at the moment, no."
Guy #2: "Well, a redhead'd be fine, too. A tall one." He grins. "Hey, how tall are you?"
Me: "Eheh." *ducks back inside to get the food*
((I do not flirt well. If I'm not talking to someone I know, when a guy starts flirting I'll look around to see who else he might possibly be talking to, and then I'll stammer.))
Me: *coming back to the window* "The total is ****."
Guy #1: *looking at my left hand* "Yep, a ring."
Guy #2: "Hey, just because she's married doesn't mean she can't flirt."
Girl: "I am never taking you guys anywhere again."
So that was a bit of a change in routine.
And I got a new portrait from Warsheep Productions today! I'll be putting it and its accompanying story up on my webpage soon, so I'll make another post linking to it when I'm done. Now I have to figure out who to request next. :-)
In other news . . . LOST finale tonight!!
